Access statement

Our  bedrooms are up a 12 step,  double, open-plan staircase with stout banisters. This staircase is also the only emergency exit from upstairs. The front door is accessed via 4 broad garden steps with no handrail. The back and patio doors are accessed by a 5 inch cill. There are no lifts or stair lifts or special arrangements for the disabled or infirm, who cannot manage the stairs and steps without assistance.

The Double-bedded en suite room

A double bed with wardrobe, bedside tables and an en suite bathroom equipped with a power shower, hand basin and WC. Window overlooking the garden and in the distance woods and the Curry Moor. Free  Superfast 47 Mbs Wi Fi.

£70 per night for 2 people reducing to £65 for two nights or more. £50 per night for single occupancy. Breakfasts included

What we offer and charge

Creechbarn is an old, converted Somerset Longbarn. We have two rooms for B and B Guests, who also have their own sitting room. Full English breakfasts are served in the Dining Room downstairs. Prices are reviewed each  January.

The Twin Room

This is our larger bedroom with two beds and can also accommodate our single camp bed or your travel cot if required. Window overlooking the garden and, in the distance, woods and the Curry Moor. Free  superfast 47 Mbs Wi Fi.  The large bathroom is directly opposite about 1 yard from the door.  It has full-sized,cast-iron bath, power shower, hand basin, WC.  Very suitable for people with a baby or one child.

£70 per night for 2 people reducing to £65 for two nights or more. £50 per night for single occupancy. Breakfasts included.

The Studio Sitting Room

This sitting room was completely refurbished in Jan 2014 and is on the same floor as the bedrooms with  Free Sat TV, Radio,  library, toys,free  superfast 47 Mbs Wi Fi , art work and comfortable seating. The double window overlooks the the garden and woods behind which the Curry Moor carries your eye over the Sedgemoor..

Breakfast

We serve a full English Breakfast in the Dining Room downstairs. Vegetarian and special diets are provided if requested in advance as are other preferences. The dining room overlooks the garden which can be accessed via the patio door and breakfast can be enjoyed outside in the summer.  As many of our ingredients as possible are locally sourced.  All eggs are free-range.  We do not serve other meals but there are a wide range of  pubs nearby that do.  Breakfast is served any reasonable time after 8 am but not before.

Full English Breakfast is included in the room price

Gardens, parking and walks

We are tucked behind the 13th Century Church well off the main road and have plenty of parking for many cars.  Access for trailer and large vehicles is only limited by narrow lanes.  We have about 2 acres of garden .  The canal tow path, also a Sustrans route,  is only 400 yards away and long walks accessible directly from our door.  We can take one or two well behaved dogs at a time.   There are a wide variety of pubs serving excellent to ordinary food. Two are within walking distance.  The bus stop is 200 yards away.

Children are those aged between 2 and 12. Babies are free.

If one child shares a parents' room, a charge of £12 will apply.

Where only children share a room, the single occupancy room rate will apply.

Dogs are charged at £3 per night.

Hair driers are provided.


A camp bed or our baby's cot can be provided in the twin room.

We can put  your traveling cot in the en suite room but not a camp bed.


Credit and debit cards cannot be accepted. We do not need a deposit.


Please pay in cash (Sterling or Euros or US $), or by UK Cheque with address on back on departure. (No commission will be charged.)


At bank holidays we only accept bookings for two nights or more. We are not open at Christmas or the New Year.
